About Us.

A small, (but hey the A-Team was small too) skilled team is executing your projects. Since we are a software shop we work closely with different design agencies (see partners). If your project is time critical we extend our team with Rubyists from our network.

The simplificators are (in no particular order):

Lukas Eppler

Lukas studied physics - although programming stuff was always important to him. He dabbled in web development right from when it began to be called that, and kept at it since. He collected some first experience of running a company during his studies, just got out before the bubble burst in 2001, and then worked in the industry for a while. There, he acquired solid skills in Java web development and project management. Lukas likes the analytical part of the job, finding the right solution for a problem, and staying creative in approaching complex problems. He's fond of agile software development practices and keeps looking for the best way to do the right things, and to do things right.

Pascal Betz

As soon as he got his BS in software engineering he started as a Java programmer for web and desktop applications. He worked in different companies and different industries and had fantastic job titles such as 'Senior Software Architect', 'Software Developer' and 'Software Engineer'. After some weeks in India's IT capital Bangalore, where he tried to get a messed up IT project back on track, he co-founded Simplificator GmbH and lived happily ever after.

On warm (sun)days you can find him out in the nature trying to improve his climbing skills.

Fabio Kuhn

Grown up with computers and the internet, Fabio found his passion for software development early. Driven by interests in mathematics and analytics he started an apprenticeship as developer and founded his own company. During this time he built solid grounds for web applications, ERP-Software and graphic design. Be it processes, code or UI: he is always seeking the most elegant solution.

J. Pablo Fernández

J. Pablo Fernández was raised among computers and started coding at the age of 7. While being a self-taught programming he studied Electronics and Electromechanics and started developing for the web in 1997. Pablo worked in more programming languages and frameworks than he can count with both hands. He worked at Google for almost three years but prefers the speed and flexibility of smaller companies.

Alessandro di Maria

Alessandro did the first 'goto' programming steps with the C64. Yet he started to study philosophy and sociology. As a side job he worked in the web industry where he found his spot and so he acquired solid knowledge in various technologies and languages. The creative aspect of software engineering is very important to him, that is why he has moved on to Ruby on Rails. Ever since he's hoping for less grey hairs.

Miriam Schütz

Miriam is the woman in the background who tries to keep everyday problems away from the guys in order that they can focus on programming. As a former eventmanager she likes planning and organizing a lot. Miriam worked in CRM business before and understands the meaning of customer satisfaction.

Nico Ritsche

Nico studied Computational Visualistics in Magdeburg, Germany - a relatively new study course based on traditional computer science with a strong focus on computer graphics. After spending some time at Imagination Technologies in the UK, where he created new high performance graphics algorithms for 3D graphics chips, he decided to start freelancing as a web developer. The idea to make websites came up when he helped out a friend with his site, stumbling over the great web application framework Ruby on Rails. Currently, he is teaming up with the simplificators, coworking on several projects.
